Amplified Student Ministry
Our Student Ministry is known as Amplified Youth Ministry. Our purpose is to live our faith out loud. Our ministry exists to encourage our Believing students in their walk with the Lord and help them strengthen this relationship. We encourage them and give them opportunities to study, memorize, and apply God's Word, have community with other Believers, to selflessly serve the church and community, and to reach the lost in our community and the friends/acquaintances of our students.
Finally, we seek to encourage the parents of our students and help to further equip them to train their children in the way they should go. Our overall goal is to give glory to God and see our students passionately pursue the Lord and submit to His Lordship in all areas of their lives! Our vision for the future is the same as it is now: to reach the lost and equip the found. We want to continue to reach our community with the great message of the Gospel and equip our students to do the same.
Upcoming Events:
Sunday, October 6th is an Afterglow. We'll be meeting to watch one of Pastor Lewis' (our pastoral candidate) sermons at 5 pm and then having the Afterglow. We'll be in Building B because Neema Church uses the Youth Building on Sundays.
Saturday, October 19th is Delivering Hope, a multi-church community worship event.
Tuesday, October 22nd – Sunday, October 27th our candidate for Pastor will be in town with his wife and baby. They will be around on Wednesday night and have several meetings scheduled during their time here.
Wednesday, October 23rd is Harvest Night. We'll be bobbing for apples, carving pumpkins, shucking corn, etc. There won't be worship or teaching that night. There will be prizes for winning games and for dressing up like a farmer.
Saturday, October 26th is Where's Waldo. Adult volunteers disguise themselves and teams of youth try to find them in Chandler Mall.
Sunday, November 3rd is a Parent's Meeting right after morning service. Lunch is provided. Please RSVP family name and number coming by Wednesday, October 30th.
Friday, November 8th – Saturday, November 9th is 30-Hour Famine. Students and some adults will be fasting Friday afternoon through Saturday evening. We will have juice (and milk, if necessary) available. We have a reservation for Feed My Starving Children on Saturday morning. We are working on an alternative to collecting food in the neighborhoods – it is no longer safe enough. We will also have several activities at the church. Signups will begin Wednesday, October 16th.
Please check your schedules before you have your student sign up for events.
